Frequently asked questions
Choose your tour, fill in the booking form, or message us on WhatsApp. We reply with availability, a confirmed price and a deposit request. Once the deposit is received your date is held.
Yes. Every tour on this site can be run privately for you, your family or your group. Private tours run on your preferred date and at your own pace, with no strangers joining.
That is one of the things we do best. Tell us how many days you have, what you want to see and roughly what you want to spend, and we will build an itinerary around it.
Yes. We collect visitors from Kotoka International Airport and can take you straight to your hotel or begin a tour the same day. Send us your flight number when booking.
Yes. All listed prices include private, air-conditioned transport with a professional driver, plus hotel pick-up and drop-off within Accra. Pick-up from outside Accra can be arranged for an additional fee.
Bottled water is always included. Lunch is not included by default so that you can choose what and where you eat, but we always stop somewhere good and your guide will recommend both local and familiar options.
Absolutely. We run tours for families regularly and can adjust the pace, the walking and the timing for younger children. Some adventure activities have minimum age or height limits, so ask us and we will confirm.
Yes. Some tours have a minimum of two people for the listed per-person price, but we will always quote you a solo rate, or let you know if another booking is running on your date that you could join.
Accommodation is not included in day tours, but for multi-day and custom itineraries we will book hotels, lodges and guesthouses at every level from budget to luxury and include them in your quote.
Mobile money, bank transfer and cash in cedis or major foreign currencies. Card payment can be arranged on request. A deposit confirms your booking and the balance is due on the day of the tour.
For day tours, three to seven days is usually enough. For December, Easter and major festivals, book several weeks or months ahead. Multi-day custom itineraries need at least two to three weeks.
Cancel more than seven days before your tour and your deposit is fully refunded or moved to a new date. Between two and seven days, half the deposit is retained. Within 48 hours the deposit is non-refundable.
Most tours run in the rain, since the showers are heavy but short. If conditions make an activity unsafe, we will swap it for an alternative or reschedule your day at no cost.
Ghana is one of the most welcoming and stable countries in West Africa and visitors travel here comfortably. Our vehicles are maintained and insured, our drivers are experienced, and our guides carry first aid kits.
Cancellation and refunds
- More than 7 days before your tour: full refund of your deposit, or move to any other date at no cost.
- 2 to 7 days before: half of the deposit is retained to cover costs already committed.
- Within 48 hours: the deposit is non-refundable, but we will always try to move your date instead.
- If we cancel for weather or safety: full refund or a free reschedule, whichever you prefer.
- No-shows: if we cannot reach you at the pick-up point after 45 minutes, the tour is treated as a same-day cancellation.
To cancel or change a booking, message us on WhatsApp or email as early as you can. We are reasonable people and we would much rather move your date than keep your money.
How we keep you safe
Vehicles and drivers
Air-conditioned vehicles serviced regularly and insured, driven by experienced drivers who know these roads in every season.
On every tour
A first aid kit, drinking water, a charged phone and a guide who stays with your group from pick-up to drop-off.
Weather and conditions
If a road, a trail or an activity is not safe, we change the plan rather than press on. You will never be charged for that.
Adventure activities
Ziplines, canopy walks and obstacle courses are run by licensed operators with their own instructors, briefings and equipment.
Families and older guests
Tell us about ages, mobility or health needs when booking and we will adjust the pace, the walking and the stops.
Health
Ghana requires a yellow fever certificate and is a malaria zone. Speak to a travel clinic before you fly, and bring your usual medication.
Terms and conditions
These are our standard terms. Have a lawyer review and adapt them before you publish the site.
A booking is confirmed only when a deposit has been received and we have sent you a written confirmation. The balance is due on the day of the tour unless agreed otherwise. Prices are quoted per person and are valid at the time of quoting.
Each tour page lists exactly what is included and excluded. Anything not listed as included should be assumed to be at your own cost.
We may change an itinerary where weather, road conditions, site closures, safety or events beyond our control require it. We will always offer the closest reasonable alternative and will refund any difference in site fees.
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, visa and any required vaccination certificates, for arriving at the agreed pick-up point on time, and for telling us in advance about medical conditions, allergies or mobility needs.
We take reasonable care in every part of our service, but we cannot accept liability for loss, injury or delay caused by third-party operators, road conditions or events outside our control. We strongly recommend travel and medical insurance.
We sometimes photograph tours for our website and social media. Tell your guide if you would prefer not to appear, and we will respect that without question.
We use the details you send us only to plan and run your tour and to reply to you. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
Come as a visitor. Leave with fond memories of Ghana.
Tell us your dates and what you would love to see. We will reply within a few hours with a plan, a price and no pressure.
